Ratner Early Detection Initiative (REDI) is reshaping outdated approaches to early detection to revolutionize cancer prevention and improve outcomes.
By expanding access to screening, advancing technologies, and challenging how systems operate, REDI works to ensure cancer is caught early — when it’s most curable.
We are committed to making early detection a standard of cancer care.
What We Do
As both a think tank and a foundation, we advocate for early detection while supporting pilot initiatives and emerging technology research.

Bruce’s Story
“The system must change: we need to spend more money, do more research, and make people aware of the benefits of early detection. Early detection will save the people we love.”
Like so many of us, Bruce Ratner saw loved ones — including mother, brother and closest friends — suffer and die from cancer. He realized catching cancer early is the closest thing we have to a cure. He founded REDI to ask the hard questions, challenge the status quo, and fight for equity in cancer care.
